Head Coach- Brian Gaw

Expectations– We expect to be very competitive this year. We have a solid core of veterans returning and some new additions that will look to contribute right away.

Strengths– Our strengths this year will be that we are very balanced and have good depth. We will have 8-9 players sharing the minutes. We have good size in 6’3″center senior captain Delani Bennett, 5’10” Senior forward Jordynne Littlefield and 5’7″ power forward Haylee Patterson. We also have some good speed and quickness with Senior captain Courtney Deane, Soph. Erin Speed, Soph. Bailey Lemieux, Soph. Lexi Harris and Freshman Alivia Hunt. Our outside shooting got a boost with soph. transfer Brooke Trafton who can also handle the ball. Junior Danika Hill, Freshmen Hope Adkins and Brooke Kujawski round out a 12 player roster without many holes. A major benefit of depth and is the ability of really have good competition in practice every day. The really push each other and themselves because they know if they don’t someone is available to replace them.

Challenges– One of the biggest challenge will be for me, the coach, in finding the right combinations that will work the best in every situation. In years past we may have had 3-4 starters and a couple role players to round it out. We have 7-8 players that on any given day against certain teams that could start.

Key Players/Position- Delani Bennett center, Jordynne Littlefield forward, Erin Speed guard.

Coaches Remarks– We are really looking forward to this season. If we continue to build on the great team chemistry we had last year we expect great results. With the new 5 class system the bar is set as high as ever. It’s going to be a fun ride.
