Foxcroft Academy Wrestling 2015 – 2016

Head coach: Luis Ayala

Last year Record- 16-0

Regionals– East Regional Runners-Up
5 Reg. Champions
States- 3rd @ Class B States
9 State placers

Expectations– The Ponies graduated some great leaders from a Class that worked hard to help FA to a 3rd Place finish at States. Now is the time for this next group of wrestlers to continue the tradition at FA. High expectations are nothing new for FA Wrestling. This year is no different as they have high expectations for themselves every time they step on the mat. The names might change but the goals and hard work will always be a part of a FA wrestler.

Strengths– Foxcroft returns 7 State Placers from last year’s team, leading the way is State Finalists Senior Antonio Ayala; Senior Brandon Brock and Senior Connor Holmes, both finished 3rd at States; and Sophomore Brandon Weston, Junior Conner Johnson, Junior Billy Brock, and Senior Michael Pendriss, they all finished in 4th place.

Challenges– The challenge for FA will be to fill those empty weight classes with quality wrestlers and get them plenty of experience before the end of the season. They also have some wrestlers that are battling injuries and hoping to be at full strength to help the team this year. They have a very competitive schedule this year, as they will go to McDonalds Tournament @ Mt. Valley, Noble Christmas Tournament, Warrior Clash @ Nokomis, and the tough Spartan Tournament @ Sanford.
