Patriots improve to 10-0: Celtics have up and down week: Bruins grab two wins over Leafs

November 24, 2015

The game wasn’t pretty Monday night, but the result was the same for the New England Patriots.  The Patriots used a strong defense and a picture perfect Tom Brady two minute drill to end the first half to record a 20-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots never trailed, but did need a strong defensive stand at the end to make sure the Bills didn’t have a game tying drive.

The Boston Celtics went 2-2 this past week. The Celtics outscored the Rockets 32-13 and rolled to an 111-95 win. Isaiah Thomas scored 23 points and dished out six assists to lead the Celtics to their second win in two nights. They also had a road victory over the Thunder.

The Celtics couldn’t hold a lead against the Dallas Mavericks on Wedneday night. They had a 31-16 lead after the first quarter, but they were outscored 36-24 in the fourth quarter as the Mavericks picked up a 106-102 road victory. Jared Sullinger had 18 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort.

The Celtics split a home and home series with the Brooklyn Nets over the weekend. Jae Crowder had 19 points, while Thomas recorded 18 points and nine assists in a 120-95 victory on Friday night. Thomas had 27 points in a 111-101 loss to the Nets on Sunday night.

The Boston Bruins went 2-1 the past week. They scored two third period goals to record a 2-0 home victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night at the Garden.  David Krejci scored the only goal in the shootout to lift the Bruins to a 4-3 win on Monday night. Boston fell at home to San Jose 5-4 early in the week.
