The high school basketball regular season gets underway this Friday night. Here is a look at Northern Maine girls basketball predictions for the 2015/2016 season.

Class A North

  1. Lawrence
  2. Messalonskee
  3. Mt. Blue
  4. Hampden

The next four- Gardiner, Oceanside, Nokomis, Camden Hills. In the mix- Medomak Valley, Brewer,  Cony, Waterville.

Class AA North

  1. Oxford Hills
  2. Edward Little
  3. Cheverus
  4. Bangor

In the mix-Deering, Portland, Windham

Class B North

  1. Houlton
  2. Presque Isle
  3. MDI
  4. John Bapst

The next four-Orono, Central, MCI, Hermon. In the mix- Winslow, Foxcroft, Mattanacook, Ellsworth.

Class C North

  1. Narraguagus
  2. George Stevens
  3. PCHS
  4. PVHS

The next four- Stearns, Schenck, Calais, Madawaska. In the mix- Fort Fairfield, Dexter,  Limestone, Bucksport.

Class D North

  1. Machias
  2. Shead
  3. Washburn
  4. Central Aroostook

The next four- Wisdom, Deer-Isle Stonington, Katahdin, Jonesport-Beals. In the mix- East Grand, Van Buren,  Ashland.
