Waterville- Kiara Carr scored a game high 29 points as the Temple Academy girls basketball team got past Highview Christian 49-34 in girls Class D South action on Tuesday evening.
The Bereans, who improve their record to 2-2, built a 12 point halftime lead and never let the Knights back into the game. Veronica Rossignol added 9 points in the victory.
Highview Christian Academy out of Charleston got 11 points from Cassidy Lessner and 8 points from Kelsea McDonald as they drop to 4-2 on the season
Temple Academy returns to action Friday at 5 pm at Islesboro. Highview Christian will host Class D North Shead at the UMA-Bangor campus Fitness Center on Saturday at 1 p.m
