A blind draw was held Monday afternoon at Shawn T. Mansfield Stadium to determine bracket assignments and initial pairings for the 2016 Senior League World Series.
Bracket A will feature Asia-Pacific, Europe-Africa, Latin America, Canada, and U.S. Central. It is the first time since the World Series in 2002 that all four international teams are in the same bracket. Bracket B will feature U.S. Southeast, U.S. East, Maine District 3, U.S. Southwest, and U.S. West.
The series will begin with opening ceremonies on Saturday, July 30th. Maine District 3 will play their first game on Sunday, July 31st at 5 p.m. against U.S. Southwest. Click here for the full story from the Senior League World Series website.
