Brunswick jumps out to big halftime lead in class B state football game

ORONO–The Brunswick Dragons football team jumped out quickly in the class B state championship game thanks to a 70 yard kickoff return from Ben Palzay.

That kickoff set up the Dragons in great field position. Palzay finished what he started by running it in the endzone from 2 yard out.

Brunswick outgained Kennebunk 123-13 in the first half and jumped out to a 22-6 lead after the first 24 minutes of play. Hunter Garrett and Christian Jensen also scored touchdowns in the first half for the Dragons.

Patrick Saunders scored in the second quarter for the Rams. That score was set up by a Dragons turnover. Brunswick has seven first downs, while Kennebunk has one.
