Ashley Emery lifts Madison to preseason win over John Bapst

DEXTER— Ashley Emery scored 16 points to lead the Madison Bulldogs girls basketball team to a 60-43 win over John Bapst at the Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union tip off classic on Saturday evening at Dexter.

Madison built a 17-6 lead after the first quarter and neve looked back. Emery had 10 first half points as the Bulldogs held a 33-23 halftime lead.

Sydney LeBlanc, Marah Hall, and Madeline Wood finished with eight points each. Lauren Hay had seven points, while Laura LeBlanc added six points. Madison will play Dexter later this evening.

Crystal Ball led the Crusaders with 12 points. Abby Legasse added eight points.  John Bapst defeated Waterville 47-36 earlier in the day.

Other scores from the tip off classic are as follows- girls- Waterville 38 Dexter 22. Boys- Dexter 43 Waterville 33,  John Bapst 58 Waterville 50, John Bapst 44 Madison 42.
