Chelsea Crockett is named Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 205 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had 13 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Chelsea Crockett recorded a double double in helping Nokomis defeat Lawrence in overtime. Crockett joins Leah Edmondson (10-6-11), and Noah Kershner (10-11-14) as student/athletes from Nokomis high school that have been named athlete of the week. Nokomis has started the season with a 3-0 record.

Chelsea Crockett- Nokomis- basketball- recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in 56-46 overtime win over Lawrence.

Georgia Landry- Katahdin- basketball- scored 27 points in 53-30 win over Bangor Christian.

Other nominations

Crystal Bell- John Bapst- basketball- scored 19 points in 54-49 win over Foxcroft. Scored 22 points in 59-40 win over Bucksport.

Kiara Carr- Temple Academy- basketball- recorded 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals in 59-36 win over Highview Christian.

Lily Gray- Deer Isle Stonington-basketball- recorded 14 points, including four 3 pointers and two foul shots with seven seconds left to secure a 38-37 win over Searsport.

Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton- basketball- scored 19 points, including making two free throws with less than one second left in 59-57 win over Presque Isle.

Katherine Alley – Stearns- basketball- scored 21 points in 78-28 win over PVHS. Scored 10 points in 52-33 win over Searsport. The freshman has scored 58 points, averaging 19.3 points in her first three games.

Emma Alley – Stearns- basketball- scored 20 points in 78-28 win over PVHS. Scored 10 points in 52-33 win over Searsport.

Peighton Ingersoll – Stearns- basketball- scored 11 points in 78-28 win over PVHS. Scored 18 points in 52-33 win over Searsport.

MacKenzie Carter – Stearns- basketball-scored 10 points in 78-28 win over PVHS.

Sydney Brewer-Southern Aroostook- basketball- scored 21 points in 68-31 win over Washburn.

Kacey Daggett- Southern Aroostook- basketball- scored 20 points in 68-31 win over Washburn.

Sidney Moore- Nokomis -basketball- scored 21 points in 50-28 win over MCI.
