Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 207 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had eight Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Morgan Dauk averaged 26.5 points in leading George Stevens to a pair of victories. It is the second straight athlete of the week honor for Dauk. George Stevens has started the season with seven wins.

Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week

Morgan Dauk- George Stevens- basketball- scored 29 points in 51-37 win over Ellsworth. Scored 24 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in 50-31 win over Penquis.

Runner up

Megan Peach- Dexter- basketball- recorded 18 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks, four assists, and four steals in 44-19 win over Bucksport. recorded 15 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks in 34-27 loss to PCHS.

Other nominations

Emma Alley- Stearns- basketball-had 28 points, including 7 three-posters in 68-25 win over Schenck.

Katherine Alley- Stearns- basketball- scored 12 points in 68-25 win over Schenck.

Kayli Cunningham- Dexter- basketball- recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists in 44-19 win over Bucksport.

Sydney Allen- Central- basketball- recorded 18 points, six assists, five steals, and four rebounds in 52-48 loss to Foxcroft.

Erin Speed – PCHS-basketball- recorded 15 points (9-11 FT) four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 34-27 win over Dexter.

Crystal Bell- John Bapst- basketball- scored 29 points, including 4 three pointers in 58-48 loss to Hermon
