Alex Cora takes over as manager of the Red Sox

On Sunday, the Boston Red Sox announced that Alex Cora is going to be their 47th manager. A press conference will be held after the World Series. Cora is currently bench coach for the Houston Astros, who will be playing the Dodgers in the Series starting on Tuesday.

Cora played for the Red Sox for four seasons, including being part of th 2007 World Series winning team. Cora has recently been manager and general manager of a winter team in Puerto Rico. He also managed the Puerto Rico team in the World Baseball Classic.
