Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 238 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had four Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kolleen Bouchard had six goals in two tournament wins to lead the Houlton girls soccer team to the class C regional final. It Ihe 13th athlete of the week honor for Bouchard.
The Charles Inn female athlete of the week
- Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton- soccer- had three goals and one assist in 8-0 class C quarterfinal win over Bucksport. Had three goals and one assist in 5-1 semifinal win over Orono.
Runner up
- Lexi Ireland- PVHS – Soccer – had three goals and one assist in 4-0 class D quarterfinal win over Washburn. Scored one goal in 2-1 class D semifinal win over Madawaska.
Other nominations
- Addi Williams- MCI – field hockey- Recorded a hat trick in 5-0 class B state championship win over York.
- Madison Michaud- Presque Isle- Soccer – recorded a hat trick in 4-0 class B semifinal win over Waterville.
