The Maine Mens basketball team hung in with the Boston College Eagles Friday night for the first half, but BC would pull away in the second half for the 85-65 win at Conte Forum at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
Ilija Stojilijkovic led Maine with 14 points and eight rebounds. Aaron Calixte added 12, and Danny Evans chipped in 11 for the 0-1 Black Bears.
Ky Bowman and Jerome Robinson each had 18 points for 1-0 Boston College.
Maine will next visit Texas Tech on the road Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. The game can be seen on Fox College Sports.
