The Boston Celtics twice rallied from a 17 point deficit Thursday night at TD Garden in Boston. The second time was enough to push them to a 92-88 win over the Golden State Warriors.
Kyrie Irving knocked down a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left, and after a Kevin Durant miss, rookie Jayson Tatum knocked down two more with six seconds remaining to extend the Celtics win streak to 14. The loss ends the Warriors seven game winning streak.
Jaylen Brown led the way for 14-2 Boston with 22 points and seven rebounds. For the second straight game, all five Celtics starters scored in double figures. Al Horford had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Irving added 16, with five rebounds, and six assists. Tatum and Marcus Morris each added 12. A 19-0 Boston run from the third quarter and going early into the fourth turned the game around.
Durant had 24 points to lead the 11-4 Golden State Warriors.
Boston goes for 15 straight when they visit Atlanta on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
