First look tournament at Hampden Academy full of girls basketball contenders

Hampden Academy will host a preseason girls basketball filled with teams that are expected to be playing deep into February.

Teams participating are Bangor and Edward Little out of class AA North. Hampden and Skowhegan out of class A North, Hermon and John Bapst are expected to be two of the best in class B North. Greely and Leavitt will be contenders in class A South. Full schedule and details are below.

10:15   Hampden vs Leavitt

11:30 Edward Little vs Hermon

12:45 Skowhegan vs Greely

2:00 Bangor vs Leavitt

3:15 John Bapst vs Edward Little

4:30 Greely vs Hermon

5:45 Hampden vs Bangor

Games will consist of two 20 minute halves with a 10 minute halftime.  If the score is tied at the end of regulation, teams will play ONE 5 minute overtime period.   All other high school rules apply.

All games will be played using 3 person officiating crews to give all teams preseason game experience with three officials on the floor.

There will be full concessions onsite to provide food services between games and we have a huge cafeteria area that will be open so that teams have a place to get out of the gym to eat or gather as a team in between games.

We will have a trainer onsite for all games.
