Strengths

The 2017 – 2018 team will be deep and athletic, with good size and experience, as the team returns 100% of its roster from last season.

Biggest challenges

The biggest challenges for this year’s team is the depth and talent level of the KVAC league.  There will be no nights off in the KVAC, with every team capable of beating any team on any given night.  The 2017-2018 KVAC league is very balanced, top to bottom, with great diversity in the style of play, forcing teams to be creative in their game planning and prep.

Key players/newcomers

Returning starters Brooklynn Scott, Braylee Wildman, Sophia Narofsky and Bailey Donovan will be key to the team’s success and will be counted on heavily to lead the team on both ends of the floor.  Newcomers that will make an impact on this year’s roster will be sophomores Alydia Brillant and Isabella Soucy, both are exceptional defenders with the ability to contribute on the offensive end of the floor.

Schedule: Hampden will have a test on opening night when they travel to Messalonskee. The home opener will be against Camden Hills on December 12th.
