A pair of NAC wins for Husson basketball

The Husson mens and womens basketball teams both stayed unbeaten in conference play Friday evening with wins over Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont.

In the womens game, Husson used a 15-0 second quarter run to open up a close game and raced to an easy 80-29 win.

Kenzie Worcester scored 13 points and had five rebounds to lead the way for Husson (3-2, 3-0 NAC). Megan Peach came off the bench to score 12 points and haul down 10 rebounds, while Logan Huckins also came off the bench to score 11 points. Mercedes Rideout had 13 points for Green Mountain (1-5, 0-4).

 

In the mens game, Hussons Raheem Anderson scored his 2,000th career point and also was the games high scorer to lead the Eagles to the 69-52 win.

Anderson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for Husson (5-1, 3-0 NAC). DeShaun Carr had 11 points and eight rebounds for Green Mountain (3-5, 1-3).

Both Husson teams are staying in Vermont and headed to Castleton to battle the Spartans on Saturday afternoon.
