DEXTER– The Dexter Tigers outscored PCHS 18-6 in the final 8 minutes and 30 seconds to earn a 44-32 girls Basketball win on Saturday afternoon at Ed Guiski gymnasium.
Peyton Grant scored 29 points, including five in the final 30 seconds of the third quarter. With the score tied at 26, Grant nailed a three pointer to give the Tigers a 29-26 lead. She followed that up with a steal. She made two free throws in the final seconds of the quarter. Dexter outscored the Pirates 13-6 in the fourth quarter.
The freshman (Grant) has scored 56 points in two games this week. Freshman Avery Herrick added eight points for the Tigers. Dexter (3-0) will play at Central (3-0) on Monday night. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio starting at 6:55 PM.
Alivia Hunt scored 10 points to lead the Pirates. PCHS (2-1) is scheduled to host Searsport on Wednesday, December 20th.
