When John Bapst defeated Hermon 53-41 in a girls basketball game on Wednesday night it reduced the number of undefeated high school girls basketball team to 11.

On Thursday, Winslow (7-0) will have a test tonight when they travel to MCI. The Huskies (7-2) only two losses came against John Bapst. Deer Isle-Stonington (10-0) will travel to George Stevens this evening. The Mariners won a close one (46-41) over George Stevens on opening night.

Houlton (8-0) defeated Calais 62-48 on Wednesday night. Vinalhaven, Maine Girls Academy, Madison, South Portland, Boothbay, Brunswick, and Marshwood are the other undefeated girls teams in the state.

In boys basketball, Hermon, Woodland, Portland, Hall-Dale, and Greely are undefeated entering action on Thursday.
