Kolleen Bouchard earns 17th Charles Inn female athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 248 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had four Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kolleen Bouchard averaged 30 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and four steals per game in leading Houlton to three wins this week. With two weeks left in the regular season, the Shires are 13-0 and at the top of the Maine Principals’ Association class C heal point standings. Sydney Allen finished as a very close runner up. Allen had another big week for the Central girls basketball team, including going over the 1000 point mark. Cassidy Lovely from Fort Kent high school also went over 1000 points this week.

The Charles Inn female athlete of the week

Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton- basketball – recorded 27 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists in 50-45 win over Southern Aroostook. recorded 33 points, four rebounds, four steals, and three assists in 72-38 win over Central Aroostook. Recorded 30 points, six rebounds,six assists, and five steals in 65-35 win over Stearns.

Runner up

Sydney Allen- Central – basketball- Had 25 points and four rebounds in 74-10 win over Lee. recorded 27 points (including 1000 career point), eight rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in 65-46 win over Bucksport. Allen is only the sixth person in school history to reach the 1000 point mark. Scored 19 points, including 5-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter in 47-39 win over Mattanawcook. Scored 17 points (all in the first half) in 90-22 win over Sumner. Allen has led Central to a 12-1 record, averaging 22 points, 4.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

Cassidy Lovely- Fort Kent- basketball- scored 30 points, including her 1000 career point in 70-34 win over Van Buren.

Gabby Lord- Nokomis- basketball- scored 24 points in 54-34 win over Erskine. Scored 15 points in 48-33 win over Mt. Blue.
