Central girls basketball get big week started at Dexter

January 30, 2018

The Central Red Devils girls basketball team enter Tuesday night’s game at Dexter with a 13-1 record. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio coverage starting at 6:55 PM.

Despite that impressive record, the Red Devils are eighth in the Maine Principals’ Association class C north heal point standings.

This week, the Red Devils play the top two teams in the class C standings. A win over the Tigers this evening or Friday when they host Houlton would secure Central a home preliminary round game.

Sydney Allen went 10-13 from the free throw line and scored 22 points in a 50-35 Central win over Dexter on December 18th. The Red Devils suffered their only loss on January 6th, when they fell 55-45 at Houlton.

In other high school basketball games on Tuesday evening, Bangor and Brewer will meet with the boys game at Bangor and the girls game at Brewer. Top seed Hampden boys will host Medomak Valley, while the Lady Broncos will travel to Medomak Valley. The Houlton girls will try and stay unbeaten when they travel to class B contender Caribou.
