February 4, 2018

Al Horford hit a stepback jumper at the buzzer on Sunday afternoon to lift the Boston Celtics to a 97-96 comeback win over the Portland Trailblazers at TD Garden in Boston.

Boston, without four players, trailed by as many as 16 points. This is the 10th time this season that the Celtics have trailed by 12 or more points in a game and rallied to win.

Damian Lillard, who finished with 21 points for Portland, had given the Blazers a 96-95 lead with an unconventional three point play with seven seconds left, after Terry Rozier had given the Celtics a 95-93 lead with 30 seconds to go on the other end.

Horford led the 39-15 Celtics with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Jayson Tatum added 17 points and five assists. Jaylen Brown had 16 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Rozier finished with 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists. C.J. McCollum led the 29-24 Blazers with 22 points. Maurice Harkless added 19 points and eight rebounds.
