The Woodland boys basketball team finished with a 15-3 record and the top seed in the final regular season Maine Principals’ Association class D North basketball standings.

Woodland went 2-2 in their final four games. Jonesport-Beals finished second, while Katahdin, Greater Houlton Christian (GHCA), and Schenck also advanced to the quarterfinals without a prelim game.

GHCA and Schenck should be an intriguing quarterfinal contest. GHCA (12-5) comes in on an eight game winning streak. Schenck (8-10) played 14 games against teams in the tournament, including eight against class C tournament teams.

Bangor Christian and Deer Isle-Stonington will meet in a prelim game. The teams split the regular season matchups, with Bangor Christian winning their home game 52-48, and the Mariners winning 58-57 in their Home game. Click here for the full class D boys basketball tournament schedule.
