Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 254 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had eight Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Kaiden Crowley (Jonesport-Beals) edged out Reece Carter (PVHS) and Matt Richards (Dexter) to earn athlete of the week honors. Crowley is the fourth student/athlete from Jonesport-Bears tobe named athlete of the week. He joins Morgan Merchant (2), Garet Beal (4), and Cole Beal.

Kaiden Crowley- Jonesport-Beals- baseball- pitched a three-hitter, struck out 17, and allowed two unearned runs in six innings in 9-2 win over Deer Isle-Stonington.
Runner up
Reece Carter- PVHS – baseball- pitched a no-hitter with six strikeouts and two walks in 11-0 win over Schenck.
Other nominations
Matt Richards- Dexter – baseball- had three hits, three RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and five stolen bases in 9-0 win over Central.
Nathan Richards- Dexter- baseball- had three hits and pitched four shutout innings in 10-0 win over Mattanawcook.
Jacob Bickford- Dexter- baseball- pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts with one walk and one unearned run, plus had two hits and two runs scored in 9-1 win over Central.
Logan Perkins- Dexter- baseball- reached base three times, including a double, home run, two runs scored, and two stolen bases in 9-1 win over Central.
Trever Richards- Dexter – baseball- pitched a four-hitter, struck out two, didn’t issue a walk, and only needed 62 pitches in a complete game effort in 9-0 win over Central.
Keegan Cottle- Schenck- baseball- struck out nine in five shutout innings in 9-2 win over Penquis.
