Bangor Christian traveled to Howland to take on the Howlers under somewhat muddy field conditions. BC came in riding a three game win streak, scoring 13 goals in that time. Lauren Reed opened the scoring early for PVHS, finishing a Lexi Ireland pass. Ireland scored herself minutes later to give the home team a cushion. Delaney Theriault scored the Howlers 3rd goal from a corner kick. Lexi Ireland earned a hat trick, scoring two more goals late in the first half. Reed assisted on one of those goals. PVHS played a good defensive game, with Leine McKechnie sticking tight to BC star Sydney Tozer. PVHS keeper Emilee Ireland made 9 saves on 16 shots to earn the shutout, as the Howlers improve to 6-0-1. Bangor Christian drops to 4-5-1 as Leah Higgins stopped 7 of 21 shots. The win has moved the Howlers to 4th in the ‘D’ North standings.
