Dexter girls soccer defeats Central to improve record to 11-0: Postgame interviews included

Hannah Dorman and Avery Herrick scored two goals each to lead the Dexter Tigers girls soccer team to a 5-0 win over Central on Saturday morning.

Dorman scored the first goal of the game when she was alert after a Herrick shot bounced off the Central keeper, Dorman was there to tap it in. Dorman made it 2-0 when she did a bicycle type kick and put it into the back of the net with 15:56 left in the first half. The Tigers took a 3-0 halftime lead when Shannon O’Roak fired a shot on goal, the ball bounced around and this time it was an alert Herrick who put the ball in the net.

Danielle Cummings and Herrick put in second half goals to finish off the impressive victory for the 11-0 Tigers. Dexter outshot Central 13-9. Addyson Herrick has seven saves for the Tigers. Dexter will travel to Orono on Tuesday.

Rachel Smith and Alexis Gibson combined for seven saves for the Red Devils.Central (6-4-1) will travel to Guilford for a matchup with PCHS on Monday.
