Olivia Smith had two hits, including a grand slam and six RBI to power Husson softball to a 12-0 win over Finlandia at Leesburg, Florida on Monday morning.
The Eagles held a 1-0 lead after two innings before breaking the game open with five runs in the third inning and six more in the fourth inning. Bri Brochu, Chloe Gorey, Morgan Coleman, Jen Jones, and Kylie Kennedy had two hits each. Arika Brochu reached base twice and pitched three innings of one hit ball to pick up the victory. Brochu (2-0) and Alyssa Prest combined to throw a two hitter in the five inning win.
Husson (2-3) will continue their Florida trip with a game against Westfield State this afternoon.
