Central got goals from Jack Miller, Alex Hewitt, and Yosef Worcester as they got by Penquis in the home opener for the Red Devils. Kennen Bean and Simon Allen each had one assist.
Bryce Burns had seven saves for the Red Devils. Central (2-0) will play at Bucksport on Saturday. Grady Atkinson had 14 saves for the Patriots. Penquis (0-1) will host Greenville on Thursday.
