Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 301 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had 10 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Wyatt Gogan has helped the Hermon Hawks football team win two consecutive games. Gogan joins Tyler Thayer – (2-17-14), Karli Theberge-(7) (5-29-16), Alex Allain (2) (10-23-17), Isaac Varney (2-19-17), Breanne Oakes (4-22-17), and Garrett Trask (9-16-18) as student/athletes from Hermon high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.

- Wyatt Gogan- Hermon- football- had 256 rushing yards and four touchdowns and threw two touchdowns in 54-27 win over Waterville.
Runner up
- Riley Geyer- Cony- football- had 154 yards and two touchdowns and 161 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 28-0 win over Messalonskee.
Other nominations
- Jaxson Gross- Bucksport- football- had 210 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries in 43-7 win over Dexter. Had 44 yards and two touchdowns on four carries in 60-0 win over Washington Academy.
- Josh Miller– Bucksport- football- had 148 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in 43-7 win over Dexter. Had 36 yards and one touchdown on two carries in 60-0 win over Washington Academy.
- Kaeden Robert- Bangor Christian– soccer- had three goals in 6-1 win over PCHS.
- Jalen Reed- Bangor Christian- soccer– the eighth grader scored three goals in 6-1 win over PCHS.
- Caleb Haines- Mt. Blue- football- had 105 rushingyards and three touchdowns in 48-6 win over Brewer
- Wyatt Hathaway- Leavitt- football- threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 12-19 passing and also rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown in 42-19 win over Foxcroft.
- Kobe Gilbert- PCHS – soccer- scored three goals and had two assists in 12-0 win over Deer Isle-Stonington.
- Cameron Paige- Dexter – football- had two touchdowns and one interception in 28-7 win over Houlton.
