Rob Clark earns Roadrunner Taxi male athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 304 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had 13 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Rob Clark has a dominating performance to help the Winslow football team defeat MCI as the Black Raiders moved to 6-0 on the season. Clark joins Dylan Hapworth (11-23-14), Nate St. Amand (11-16-15), Ben Smith (5-7-17), Carly Warn (10-21-18), and Silver Clukey (1-21-19) as student/athletes from Winslow high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.

  • Rob Clark – Winslow- football- rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns in 61-37 win over MCI.

Runner up

  • Damon Warren- Sumner – soccer- scored four goals, including his 100th career goal in 7-3 win over Jonesport-Beals.

  • Liam Farrell– Orono- scored two goals in 6-1 win overCentral. 
  • Isaac Bussell- MCI- football- – ran for over 100 yards and two touchdowns in 61-37 loss to Winslow.
  • Riley Geyer- Cony- football- had two rushing touchdown and two passing touchdowns in 48-6 win over Hampden.
  • Logan Martin- Foxcroft- football- had 163 yards (rushing and receiving) and two touchdowns in 27-21 overtime loss to Dexter.
  • Cameron Paige- Dexter- football- had 82 yards rushing and one touchdown in 27-21 overtime win over Foxcroft.
  • Parker Ponte- Dexter- football- had 88 yards rushing and one touchdown in 27-21 overtime win over Foxcroft.
  • Parker Richardson- Dexter – football- had three sacks in 27-21 overtime win over Foxcroft.
  • Kevon Johnson- Mt. Blue- football- ran for 128 yardsand three touchdowns in 48-0 win over Gardiner.
  • Jaxson Gross- Bucksport- football- had 121 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries plus seven tackles on defense in 21-14 win over Oak Hill. 
  • Josh Miller- Bucksport– football- had 125 yards on 12 carries and nine tackles on defense in 21-14 win over Bucksport. 
  • Tyler Chapman- Dexter – football- had a 55 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to tie the game and an interception in overtime to seal a 27-21 overtime win over Foxcroft.
