The Eastern Maine Sports experts have gone 79-31 with their football picks this season heading into state championship weekend. The overall championship is up for grabs with Chris Lessner (83-27) holding a one game lead over Bob Beatham. Lessner went 9-1 last week to take that one game lead.
This week, the crew will pick the four state championship games plus the Portland/Deering thanksgiving day clash. If Thornton defeats Bonny Eagle in the class A state championship game, Lessner will clinch the 2019 title. If Bonny Eagle wins it will come down to the turkey day game.
