Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. If you want to sponsor the female or male athlete of the week email Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. Use that same email to send your nominations in during the week. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 322 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had one Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominationn. Zach Needham had a hat trick in lifting Orono to a boys soccer win over PCHS. Needham is the 15th student/athlete from Orono high school to be named athlete of the week.
