Jasmine and Jada Colbert each had a goal Saturday afternoon, and the Albany Great Danes also held the Maine Black Bears to just two shots on goal to take a 2-0 win at Tom and Mary Casey Stadium in Albany, New York in non-conference women’s soccer play.

Jasmine Colbert provided the eventual game winner scoring at the 28 minute mark of the first half on an assist from Sahara Zingano. Her sister Jada would provide the breathing room on an assist from Christina Certuno at the 84:48 mark. Kira Kutzinski had six saves on eight shots in the Maine goal, as the Black Bears drop to 0-2 and haven’t scored a goal yet in the spring season. Sophia Chen stopped both shots in the shutout for Albany, as the Great Danes improve to 1-1. Maine now will open up a six game America East Conference slate starting with a trip to UNH next Sunday at 2 p.m.
