Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 345 past athlete of the week winners.
This week we had two Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Rylee Speed scored six goals and had four assists in two games to help the Central girls soccer team to a 1-1 week. It the second athlete of the week honor for Speed, she also earned AOW on November 2nd, 2020.
September 13th – September 18th
- Rylee Speed- Central- soccer- had one goal and one assist in 5-3 loss to Bucksport. Had five goals and three assists in 10-1 win over Mattanawcook.

- Hannah Weaver- MCI-field hockey- scored four goals in 5-0 win over Mt. View.
