Kaylee Elkins reached base five times on three hits and two walks plus had five runs scored and four RBI in leading Lawrence softball to a 27-2 win over Oceanside on Friday morning.
The Bulldogs broke the game open early with 13 runs in the first inning, nine more in the second inning capped by a grand slam from Elkins. Taylor Wilkie also hit a home run for Lawrence. Jazmin Johnson got the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. She allowed two runs on five hits and no walks, while striking out seven in her five inning complete game.
Wilkie had two hits, four runs scored, and five RBI. Kyleigh Quirion and Jade Sullivan each had two hits and four RBI.
