The Portland Sea Dogs swept a pair of seven inning games with the Reading Fightin Phils at Hadlock Field by scores of 5-1 and 3-1 on Thursday after a rainout on Wednesday. Portland pitcher Brayan Bello would throw the first seven inning complete game no-hitter in Sea Dogs history in game two.

In game one, Devlin Granberg and Christian Koss had two hits a piece and Pedro Castellanos drove in two runs in the win. Brandon Walter (1-0) earned the pitching victory going 6.0 innings not allowing a run on three hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts. In the second game, Hudson Potts hit a game winning two-run homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning for Portland to help complete the sweep. Potts had two hits on the evening. Brandon Howlett had tripled in a run to give the Sea Dogs an early 1-0 lead, before Reading (8-16) tied it on an error in the top of the fourth. Bello (3-2) completed the 7.0 inning no-hitter allowing one run (unearned) with three walks and five strikeouts. The right hander, who is one of the top pitchers in the Boston Red Sox farm system, had just cracked into the Baseball America Top 100 prospects list on Wednesday.

Portland (13-11) has won the first three of the six game series. Game four is Friday night at 6 p.m. with a pair of lefties on the mound. Jay Groome (1-0, 3.60 ERA) will be toeing the rubber for the Sea Dogs, against Erik Miller (0-0, 0.90) for the Fightin Phils.
