Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 209 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had 10 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kolleen Bouchard averaged 25.5 in leading the Houlton Shiretowners to wins over Central and Hermon. Bouchard scored 30 in a double overtime win over the Red Devils. It is the ninth athlete of the week honor for Bouchard.

Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton- basketball- recorded 21 points, seven rebounds, seven blocks, and five rebounds in 53-38 win over Central. Scored 30 points in 58-51 double overtime win over Hermon.

Runner up

Bailey Donovan- Hampden Academy- basketball- the sophomore recorded 18 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocked shots in 56-41 loss Messalonskee.

Other nominations

Emi Higgins – Hermon- basketball- scored 15 points and had eight rebounds in 57-29 win over Caribou.

Rylee Warman- Houlton- basketball- knocked down five three-pointers en route to a game high 21 points in 70-38 win over Ellsworth. Scored eight points in 53-38 win over Central.

Emily Wheaton- Presque Isle- basketball- scored 23 points in 58-44 win over MDI.

Erin Speed- PCHS- basketball- recorded 13 points, seven steals, six rebounds, and three assists in 45-28 win over Greenville.

Gabrielle Weber- Messalonskee- basketball- the freshman had 21 points (5 three pointers), six rebounds, and three steals in 56-41 win over Hampden.

Emma Alley- Stearns – basketball- scored 24 points in 63-39 win over PVHS.

Katherine Alley- Stearns – basketball- scored 16 points in 63-39 win over PVHS.

Peighton Ingersoll- Stearns – basketball- scored 10 points in 63-39 win over PVHS.
