Young scored from 58 yards out on the first play from scrimmage for the Lynx. The Tigers responded quickly when Tyler Beem finished off a nine play drive with a one yard touchdown run to even the score at eight.

Beem gave the Tigers their only lead in a 14 yard touchdown run with 10:02 remaining in the first half. Jacob Bickford converted the two point play on a pass from Beem.

Young scored from one yard out and converted the two point conversion to even the score at 16. Young was 7-7 on two point plays. Young accounted for 39 points between his touchdowns and point after conversions.

The Lynx scored two touchdowns in the last 2:22 of the half. Dominic Libbey passed to Kristofer Milner for a 37 yard touchdown on a 3rd and 33 play.  After an interception by the Lynx, Libbey connected with Young on a 16 yard score to give Mattanawcook a two score lead (32-16) as time expired in the first half.

The defenses of both teams dominated the first nine minutes of the second half. That all changed when Bickford threw a 44 yard touchdown to Beem with 3:09 left in the third quarter.

The Dexter (3-3) momentum was halted when the two point conversion failed. The Lynx took over the momentum when Young took the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.

Mattanawcook (4-2) scored the final 31 points of the contest. Libbey threw three touchdowns and ran for one. Young rushed for 147 yards to go along with his two rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown, and one kickoff return for a touchdown.
