Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 213 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had 11 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Megan Peach averaged 21 points, 17 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks in three tournament games to help the Dexter Tigers reach the state final game against Monmouth on Saturday, March 4th @ 7:05 PM. It is the third time Peach has been named athlete of the week, including two weeks ago.

Megan Peach- Dexter- basketball- recorded 19 points, 19 rebounds, and three blocks in 50-26 class C quarterfinal win over Madawaska.recorded 23 points, 21 rebounds, and threee blocks in 47-44 semifinal win over Stearns. Recorded 19 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, three steals, and two assists in 35-32 class C regional final win over George Stevens. Peach averaged 21 points, 17 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks in the Tigers tourney run.

Morgan Dauk- George Stevens – basketball- recorded 31 points. 13 rebounds, and four steals in 49-40 quarterfinal win over Calais. Recorded 17 points, nine rebounds,and four blocks in 50-29 semifinal win over PCHS. Recorded 21 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals in 35-32 regional final lost to Dexter.

Kassandra Farley- Washburn- basketball- recorded 22 points, nine rebounds, and two assists in 54-47 class D quarterfinal win over Central Aroostook.

Holly Preston- Shead- basketball- recorded 19 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 73-33 class D quarterfinal win over Ashland. Recorded 24 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two assists in 51-29 class D semifinal win ove Washburn. Recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 32-29 class D regional final win over Southern Aroostook.

Cassidy Wilder- Shead- basketball- recorded 16 points, four rebounds, and four blocks in 73-33 class D quarterfinal win over Ashland. Scored nine points and nine rebounds in 51-29 class D semifinal win over Washburn. Had 10 points, four rebounds, and three blocks in 32-29 regional final win over Southern Aroostook.

Madison Greenlaw- Shead- basketball- recorded 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals in 73-33 class D quarterfinal win over Ashland. Scored eight points in regional final win over Southern Aroostook.

Kayli Cunningham- Dexter- basketball- recorded 13 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists in 50-26 class C quarterfinal win over Madawaska.

Peighton Ingersoll- Stearns- basketball- scored 23 points and pulled diwn six rebounds in 51-41 class C quarterfinal win over Narraguagus.

Erin Speed- PCHS- basketball- scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in 53-21 class C quarterfinal win over Woodland.

Alivia Hunt- PCHS- basketball- recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in 53-21 class C quarterfinal win over Woodland.

Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton – basketball- recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks in 37-33 quarterfinal overtime win over Hermon. Recorded 16 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists in 43-31 class B regional final win over Foxcroft.
