Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had eight Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Morgan Dauk averaged 26.5 points in leading George Stevens to a pair of victories. It is the second straight athlete of the week honor for Dauk. George Stevens has started the season with seven wins.

Morgan Dauk- George Stevens- basketball- scored 29 points in 51-37 win over Ellsworth. Scored 24 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in 50-31 win over Penquis.
Runner up
Megan Peach- Dexter- basketball- recorded 18 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks, four assists, and four steals in 44-19 win over Bucksport. recorded 15 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks in 34-27 loss to PCHS.
