MPA Class A North 2017 field hockey tournament schedule

The Hampden Broncos needed a win on the final day of the regular season to earn a tournament spot. The Broncos did just that, defeating Bangor 2-0 on Thursday afternoon.

Skowhegan locked down the top seed in the final Maine Principals’ Association class A standings when they got by Messalonskee on Wednesday. 

The full MPA class A North field hockey tournament schedule is below (schedule subject  to change). Official dates and times will be added as we get them.

Quarterfinals

Tuesday, October 17th or Wednesday, October 18th

  1. #8 Edward Little 0 (5-9) at #1 Skowhegan 11  (13-1)- 10/17 @ 3:30 PM
  2. #5 Mt. Ararat 0 (9-5) at #4 Cony 1(7-6-1)- 10/17 @ 3 PM
  3. #7 Hampden 0  (4-9-1) at #2 Messalonskee  7 (12-2)- 10/18 @ 3:30 PM
  4. #6 Bangor 0 (7-6-1) at #3 Mt. Blue 8 (11-3)

Semifinals (at higher seed)

Friday, October 20th

  • 5- Cony 1  at Skowhegan 4 – 3 PM
  • 6- Mt. Blue 1 at Messalonskee 5- 6:30 PM

Regional final (at Hampden Academy)

Tuesday, October 24th

  • 7- Skowhegan VS Messalonskee 

State final (at Yarmouth high school)

  • 8- 7 Winner VS South Winner
