Price is right in Red Sox game 3 victory

October 8, 2017

Mookie Betts used his glove, David Price his arm, while Rafael Devers and Hanley Ramirez each swung a big bat as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Astros 10-3 on Sunday afternoon in game three of the American Leagie Division series.

The Red Sox fell behind early when Carlos Correa smacked a two run homer to cap off a three run first inning for the Astros against Doug Fister.

With the season on the line for the Red Sox, Betts ribbed Josh Reddick is a three run homer that would have made it 6-0 Astros. Devers just 20-years old smacked a two run homer that gave the Red Sox a 4-3 lead in the third inning.

Price took over from that point. Pitching four shutout innings. He threw 57 pitches, striking out four.

The Red Sox offense exploded for six runs in the seventh inning to put the game away. Ramirez went 4-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Mitch Moreland had three hits, while Jackie Bradley JR capped things off with a three run homer.

Red Sox and Astros will play game four on Monday at Fenway Park.
