Winslow and Dexter will meet in clash of field hockey powers

The Winslow Black Raiders field hockey team improved to 10-0 when they knocked off Belfast 1-0 on Saturday morning. It was the first loss of the season for Belfast.

The Black Raiders will play another top team on Monday when they host Dexter at 3:30 PM. The Tigers are also 10-0 after they defeated Mattanawcook 9-0 on Saturday morning. Hayley Rossman had five goals and two assists for the Tigers.

Winslow currently sits at the top of the class B Maine Principals’ Association heal point standings. Dexter is second in the class C heal point standings.

The Tigers have outscored their opponents 83-3, with two of the goals coming in 3-2 Dexter win over Foxcroft Academy on September 12th. The Black Raiders have outscored their opponents 43-6.

Dexter and Winslow will play twice in the final nine days of the regular season. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio coverage of the game at Dexter between the teams on October 10th.
