Winslow and St. Doms only undefeated field hockey teams in state entering final week

The Winslow Black Raiders field hockey team defeated Lincoln Academy 8-0 on Saturday night.

The Black Raiders have outscored opponents 55-6 this season. Winslow joins St. Dominic Academy out of Auburn as the only undefeated field hockey teams in the state.

Winslow (13-0) in class B North, has secured the top spot in the upcoming Maine Principals’ Association class B tournament. 

The Black Raiders will finish their regular season when they travel to Dexter for a clash with the class C power Tigers. Winslow handed Dexter (12-1) their only loss (3-0) on October 2nd. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio of the Black Raiders/Tigers contest starting at 3:25 on Tuesday.

With a win, Dexter has a shot at the top spot in class C. The Tigers are coming off a 4-0 win over Orono on Saturday. 

St. Doms has outscored opponents 122-14 through 13 games and have locked down the top spot in class C south. They will finish the regular season at Wells on Tuesday. 

Messalonskee (11-1) and Skowhegan (11-1) will meet on Monday with top seed in the class A standings going to the winner.
