Bangor- The Knights from Highview Christian Academy could get used to this winning thing. HCA improved their record to 2-0 by beating North Haven 53-26 Saturday morning at the UMA-Bangor Fitness Center in a Class D South schoolgirl basketball game.
The Knights were led by Kelsea McDonald who had 17 points and 18 rebounds. Cassidy Lessner also had 12 points and 9 rebounds while Jenna Kepple chipped in with 9 off the bench. HCA opened up the game outscoring NH 15-2 in the opening quarter, rolling to a 17 point halftime lead that was extended to as many as 29 in the second half.
The North Haven Hawks (0-2) were led by Maddie Hallowell who had 14 points. They also got 8 points from Jasmine Brown.
Highview Christian, located in Charleston, now has more wins that all of 2014-15 season after just two games. The Knights will play Class D power Forest Hills at the Augusta Civic Center on Tuesday, December 8th at 4:30 p.m.
