PITTSFIELD– Eastern Maine Sports will bring you live audio of a varsity doubleheader between the Nokomis Warriors and the MCI Huskies on Friday night. For all the action click here.
The girls game will start the evening with a 4:50 PM pregame show and a 5 PM scheduled tip. Both teams come in at 1-1. Nokomis moved up to class A, and they jumped right into the class A fire on Tuesday night. The Warriors fell to the defending champions from Lawrence by a score of 76-34. Sidney Moore score 16 points in the season opener, as Nokomis rallied for a 46-45 win over Mt. Blue.
MCI is also 1-1, and are coming off a loss. The Huskies fell 51-31 to Winslow on Tuesday night. In the season opener, MCI rallied from a 12 point halftime deficit to earn a 41-37 victory over Spruce Mountain. April McAlpine led the way for the Huskies with 12 points.
The boys game, will also feature teams that are 1-1, and are coming off a loss. Nokomis defeated Mt. Blue 58-50 in their opening, before falling to Lawrence 63-55. MCI got by Spruce Mountain 48-43, before losing to Winslow 68-37.
