For the first time this basketball season, weather has caused athletic directors to postpone games.
Stearns was scheduled to travel from Millinocket to Guilford to play a varsity girls/boys doubleheader. That doubleheader was rescheduled for Monday, January 18th with the girls game at 5:30, with the boys game to follow.
Orono girls were scheduled to play at Central, while the Penobscot Valley high school boys were schedule to travel to Milo for a game against Penquis. The game in Milo will be played on Wednesday night.
Other games that have been postponed include Calais at Houlton boys basketball (rescheduled for December 21st),Easton at Fort Fairfield boys basketball, Katahdin at Schenck girls basketball (rescheduled for tomorrow). Follow Eastern Maine Sports on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
