Hartford shot 7-8 from the free throw line down the stretch to secure the 82-74 victory over Maine in an America East Conference men’s basketball game at the Cross Insurance Center.
Pancake Thomas led the Hawks with 23 points and eight rebounds,Jalen Ross added 14 points and three assists, while George Blagojevic chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
Issac Vann filled up the stat sheet for the Black Bears in their regular season home finale with 23 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Shaun Lawton added 13 points and five rebounds, while Aaron Calixte scored 12 points and dished out five assists. Maine (8-20/4-11) will finish their regular season at Binghamton on Saturday afternoon. A win, would secure a spot in the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament.
