BOYS AA/A/B NORTH TEAM TRIUMPHS AT 2016 MAINE McDONALD’S® HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR ALL-STAR BASKETBALL GAMES: Hunter Smith scores 19

BANGOR, Maine – The Boys Class AA/A/B North Senior All-Star Team defeated the AA/A/B South All-Stars 97-91 today at the Maine McDonald’s® High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games at Husson University in Bangor.

Amir Moss of Portland High School and Hunter Smith of Foxcroft Academy led the North squad with 19 points each, while Andrew Fleming of Oxford Hills High School and Nicholas DePatsy of Medomak Valley High School each added 17. Leading the way for the South team was Shyheim Ulrickson of Mt. Ararat High School with 20 points, and Sam Kilborn of Gorham High School with 19 points.

The North team was coached by Mike Adams of Edward Little High School, Russ Barrett of Hampden Academy and Brian McDormand of Old Town High School. Other North players included Matt Pushard, Brewer High School; Donovan Savage, Caribou High School; Nick Gilpin, Hampden Academy; Brendan McIntyre, Hampden Academy; Andre Miller, Old Town High School; and Stefan Milivojevic, Washington Academy.

The South squad was coached by Todd Hanson, Brunswick High School; Rob Schmidt, Maranacook Community High School; and Bob Davies of Thornton Academy. Other players on the South team were Thomas Hanson, Brunswick High School; Thomas Coyne, Falmouth High School; Zach MacKinnon, Kennebunk High School; Jackson Lesure, Lake Region High School; Kent Mohlar, Maranacook Community High School; Ryan O’Neil, Marshwood High School; Tyus Sprague Ripley, Massabesic High School; and John Fossett of Poland Regional High School.

Net proceeds from the All-Star Games benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of Maine. Last year’s All-Star Weekend raised more than $32,000.00 for the Charities. Since its founding in 1998, RMHC of Maine has granted more than $3 million to more than 250 non-profit organizations that positively impact the health and well-being of children and families in Maine and eastern New Hampshire.
