Carsyn Koch wins national championship

Carsyn Koch became a national champion on Saturday evening.  The 2014 graduate of Washburn high school finished first in the women’s 800 Meter run at the division II Indoor Track and Field Championship at Pittsburg State University in Kansas.

Koch is a sophomore at Cedarville University located in Cedarville, Ohio. She finished with a time of 2:05.12, not only becoming a 2016 national champion, but also breaking an all time record. Click here for the full results.

Koch also set two meet records recently and helped Cedarville win their first conference championship. Koch will compete in the outdoor track and field championship in May in Tampa.
